Captains’ Charity
2012
There seems
to be some confusion over the cheque
presented to Help For Heroes totalling
£3250 at the end of 2012. It should be
noted that the 2012 Captains, Brian & Evie, Mitcham Village Captain &
Vice, Neil & Graham, the Ladies section, Archie and his staff, many poor
shots into the bunkers on the 18th, not to mention raffles held at
quiz nights and on various golf days, and random donations from members and
their guests raised an impressive £1750.
A further
much appreciated £1500 was raised on
Charity Day.
Times may be
tough, but it is sincerely hoped that we will spare a thought and continue to
support the 2013 Captains’ Charities.
